John Riggins Returns To Sirius
Sirius NFL Radio got a big boost with the return of legendary redskins player
The SIRIUS Blitz will air Tuesdays through Fridays (10:00 am – 1:00 pm ET) every week exclusively on channel 124. The co-host on The SIRIUS Blitz will be longtime SIRIUS NFL Radio personality Adam Schein.
“If you’re an NFL fan, you’re not going to find a better place to talk football than SIRIUS NFL Radio,” said Riggins. “I’m excited to be back and am looking forward to being part of a show that I hope will be as fun and engaging for the listeners as I know it’ll be for me.”
“John has always been a fan favorite and he’s as entertaining on the air as he was when he was running the football,” said Steve Cohen, SVP of Sports Programming for SIRIUS XM Radio. “We’re thrilled to have him back on SIRIUS NFL Radio, where listeners around the country will be able to call in and talk to one of the NFL’s all-time greats.”
On SIRIUS NFL Radio Riggins joins an unrivaled lineup of former NFL players, coaches and executives that includes Carl Banks, Gil Brandt, Randy Cross, Dean Dalton, Pat Kirwan, Jim Miller, Dan Reeves, Tim Ryan, Marty Schottenheimer, Shannon Sharpe, Ross Tucker and Solomon Wilcots.
Position – Long SIRI
Tyler,
Anything on putting the Mad Dog on the Internet Lineup?????????????
Riggins “the player” was a Maniac . . . loved him with the J-E-T-S, jets-jets-jets. Him and Boozer in the backfield behind Joe Willy (or more often Al Woodall). “Riggo” had his head shaved in a Mohican with an arrow pointing forward so he “knew which direction to run.”
what do these guys know that we don’t? i.e., do their agents believe that we have financing? why would they move to satellite radio if Sirius had no money? must have been assured that financing will come through, don’t you think?
I just want to agree with Riggos analysis of the New England Patriots problems. Matt Cassel will never get into a shoot out with a high powered offense. It is up to the defense to step up. I am a life long Pats fan, and have no doubt that they will be back next year. The loss of Tom Brady is a blow, but we cant blame all of the teams problems on that loss.
